Understanding Stroke Rehabilitation
A stroke can affect movement, speech, thinking, and daily independence. Stroke rehabilitation plays a crucial role in helping survivors regain lost abilities and adapt to new challenges.
Rehabilitation begins as early as possible after a stroke and continues through different stages of recovery. A multidisciplinary team—including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and doctors—works together to create an individualized treatment plan.
Therapy focuses on improving mobility, balance, speech, swallowing, and cognitive skills. With consistent therapy, family support, and motivation, many stroke survivors achieve meaningful improvements in function and quality of life.
